Because the finished dog is a walking advert for every salon, we believe in training people to groom to the highest standards so that their businesses prosper. All too often we see dogs groomed badly, and can only assume that the groomer concerned has had little or no training and it is only a matter of time before a well trained person comes along and puts them out of business. Our role as trainers is to help you forward and improve your skills in order to maintain and expand your businesses, and to enjoy maximum profitability. After all we are not in this industry to make a loss!

We are sure that the new Small Animal Welfare Bill could eventually lead to compulsory qualification for Dog Groomers and therefore are stressing the need for excellent training leading to recognised qualifications in order to safeguard your businesses. 

We offer a wide range of training courses designed to meet the needs of the grooming salon and the individual groomer be it salon based or mobile.

All courses are designed and personally supervised by the Proprietor and all courses only have a small number of students at any one time to ensure the very best quality teaching and to provide a relaxing and pressure-free learning environment. 

All students will be required to undertake an individual initial assessment in order that we can identify your learning strengths and tailor our teaching methods to the individual learner. This also allows us to identify the level of experience each student has, and tailor the courses accordingly. 

We have detailed overviews of each individual course and will be happy to send any that you require.

We have limited self catering accommodation available if required. Please ask us for more information if you are interested.

What Abbfabb expects from you:

• To work hard and complete all practical and theory assignments at an agreed time, where possible
• Don't expect to hand us a cheque and suddenly be turned into a groomer with no input from you (see above)
• To continue to study, go to dog shows and seminars and continue to add to your knowledge after you leave us
• To have respect for our Salon, our staff, our property and your fellow students
• To ask questions whenever necessary
• To have faith in what we teach you
• To abide by the Small Animal Welfare Act
• To conduct your businesses with professionalism at all times
